Decoding San Francisco’s Housing Preferences

For Renters AND Homebuyers- This workshop will provide an overview of San Fransciso’s affordable housing lottery preferences. Learn how lottery preferences work, who is eligible, and how to insure you are receive all preferences that apply to your household. We will review the primary lottery preferences, as well as the new preferences for Veterans.

Resources for Seniors and People with Disabilities Panel

5 – 6 PM

Panel discussion on services to help seniors age in place and maintain financial stability. Learn about units that give priority to households that need accessibility features and supportive resources for San Francisco residents with disabilities.

San Francisco Downpayment Assistance Programs

5 – 6 PM

Are you eligible for downpayment assistance? This workshop will discuss the San Francisco Downpayment Assistant Loan Program (DALP), including DALP for SFUSD Educators, and emergency first responders employed by City/ County Police, Fire and Sherriff. Get your questions answered, and find out about the next funding cycle.

Buying a “market rate” home? Learn about first time homebuyer loans and other assistance available thru the Veterans Administration, WISH program, and CalHFA.

Know Your Rights for San Francisco Tenants

Need help negotiating back rent, addressing conflicts with housemates, or do you want to learn about your rights and responsibilities as a tenant under the San Francisco “ Right to Counsel” ordinance? This workshop covers basic information for San Francisco tenants and an overview of legal aid and other tenant services.

City Sponsored Rental Housing – BMR Rentals and 100% Affordable Housing

Learn about the San Francisco Inclusionary housing program, 100% affordable rental program and the opportunities currently available. This class will review re-rentals, first come first served listings, waitlists, buildings with special services, and more.
