Tenant Protections
AB 2179 extends statewide eviction protections until June 30, 2022 for people who submitted their CA COVID-19 Rent Relief Application by March 31.
CA COVID-19 Rent Relief program does not protect past due rent and utility bills after April 1, 2022.Past due rent after April 1, 2022 could result in eviction.
