Homeowner Workshops provide guidance on how to protect and maintain your investment.
You can take these courses in any order and they will count towards your rebate requirement. These courses are offered in English, Spanish and Chinese throughout the year:

Homeowner Rebates
Anyone utilizing any of the San Francisco homebuyer assistance programs will be required to attend 6 hours of homeowner workshops after the purchase of their property in order to obtain the homeowner rebate. You’ll have 24 months from the date of your purchase to fulfill this requirement. Only the workshops listed on this page count towards the homeowner education requirement.
Counseling
Whether you’re new to homeownership or well along in your journey, there will be times when you have questions or concerns and could use some experienced, impartial insights and information. From managing your day-to-day finances to budgeting for the inevitable and unforeseen – like ongoing maintenance, upkeep, repairs, property taxes, Homeowner Associations (HOAs) and insurance coverage. You may have questions about refinancing, or a reverse mortgage, or find yourself dealing with financial bumps in the road. Contact one of our HUD-approved counseling agencies to schedule an Individual Counseling appointment and obtain the support you need.
