About this event

Orientation is the first step to becoming a MEDA client.

Do you need to work on your finances: debt, income, savings and credit?

Do you need housing assistance: post-purchase, foreclosure, or rental? *

Do you need help with your career, including job training programs?

Do you want to start or expand your own business, including access to a business loan?

MEDA’s financial education and training program includes:

A primary workshop covering the basics of personal finance.

An initial financial coaching session that includes:

Individualized financial action plan

Personal budget and financial evaluation

Free Tri Merge Credit Report with EFX, XPN and TUC Scores

Connections to relevant ancillary services from our partner organizations, including the IDA and Cesta programs through the Mission Asset Fund and EARN, the Federal Home Loan Bank’s WISH and IDEA programs, as well as secured card and bank account options.

Personalized follow-up counseling sessions that provide regular “checks” and help clients reach their goals.

*** Please note that if you enter the webinar room more than 15 minutes after the start time, you may attend the orientation, but you will not receive credit and will need to attend again to complete this orientation education requirement.

 

You must use your legal name, as shown on your CA ID or driver’s license on both registration forms (Eventbrite and Family Income Verification Form), as well as when entering the webinar through Zoom.

You must register with your own email address. Please use the same email address on both registration forms (Eventbrite and Family Income Verification Form) and when entering the webinar through Zoom.

You must log in on your own device and participate during the orientation. Due to testing during orientation, only one person per device can participate. Participants can attend on a computer or mobile device.

You must enter the webinar on time and be ready for the presentation. Please note that if the webinar room is entered more than 15 minutes after the start time, you may attend the orientation, but you will not receive credit and will need to attend again to complete this orientation education requirement.

To receive attendance credit: You must submit the Income Verification Form and complete the tests and quizzes during the webinar.
