Program Coordinator

David Williams

David holds an enduring principle that housing is a human right. A Bay Area local, David attended a bilingual elementary school and maintained his Spanish fluency by graduating from Chico State with a double major in Spanish and Latin American Studies. David started working in the restaurant industry when he was 16, and sustained his yearlong travel throughout South America by working in hostels and restaurants. Upon his return, David started volunteering at Causa Justa::Just Cause, helping tenants fight illegal evictions and illegal rent increases using a “serve the people” model. Now, as a full time employee of Homeownership SF, David is committed to keeping people in their homes so that they can create generational wealth for their children through homeownership. David believes that knowledge is power, and the more one knows about their rights, the harder one will fight for themselves and their neighbors, within housing and beyond!
