MEDA has been dedicated to the Latino community in San Francisco, and the businesses and institutions that serve them, for over 37 years. Its mission is to achieve economic justice for San Francisco’s low-and moderate-income Latino families through the development of personal, financial, and community assets. Rooted in the Mission District, MEDA’s long-term vision is to see families engaged in creating a thriving local economy with opportunity and prosperity for all. Its services include education and counseling for current and prospective homeowners, small business coaching and workshops, and community organizing and advocacy development. MEDA is a HUD-approved local housing counseling agency and provides pre-purchase and foreclosure intervention counseling services.
